Mountain Veterinary Hospital

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this veterinary clinic. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment after waiting over a week to get one. I drove more than 30 minutes because my dog’s condition is serious and I wanted him to be seen as soon as possible. After waiting for nearly an hour without seeing a veterinarian, I politely asked the front desk if they could give me an estimate of how much longer the wait might be, since I also needed to pick up my child. I made it very clear that I understood the doctors were busy handling emergency surgeries and that emergencies should absolutely take priority. I was not asking to skip the line I was simply asking for an estimated wait time so I could make an informed decision. The response I received was shockingly unprofessional. I was repeatedly told, “I don’t know,” followed by, “That’s not my problem. You can keep waiting or reschedule.” When I explained that rescheduling wasn’t a reasonable option because my dog’s condition is serious, I had already waited over a week for this appointment, and I had driven over 30minutes to get there, I was again told, “That’s not my problem.” What made this experience even more disturbing was that I interacted with 3different female staff members during my visit. Every one of them had the same cold, dismissive attitude. They repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do, yet not a single person asked about my dog’s condition or showed any concern for his well being. As a worried pet owner, I expected at least a basic level of compassion. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience. We have been bringing our pets to this clinic for over 5years, and we have never had an experience this disappointing or unprofessional. That is what makes this situation even more upsetting. The issue is not that emergency cases caused delays. Any reasonable pet owner understands that emergencies happen. The real problem is the complete lack of empathy, communication, and professionalism from the front desk staff. If the clinic knew there would be significant delays due to limited doctor availability, they could have notified clients in advance or at least treated them with basic courtesy and respect. No client should ever be told, “That’s not my problem,” after waiting nearly an hour for a scheduled appointment. That level of customer service is simply unacceptable. I cannot recommend a clinic that treats worried pet owners with such indifference.

We are so grateful for our awesome vet! One thing we really appreciate is they can get our dogs in quickly. We walked away from other vets who couldn’t see our dogs within a reasonable time frame when they had an infection or other thing that required an exam and medication. Mountain vet works hard to squeeze in our dogs when they need to be seen! They are professional, caring, and excellent with animals. Highly recommend!

Dr. Watson is just the absolute best. All of the staff is wonderful and always squeezes us in, whether its a general worry, or an actual emergency. Couldn't recommend this veterinary hospital more.
